Dr. Van Mason grew up in the Atlanta area and completed her medical degree and training, including pediatric residency and allergy and immunology fellowship, in Kansas City. She is trained to treat both children and adults with allergy and immunology-related diseases. Her husband is a pediatric pulmonologist at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, and they moved to Chattanooga in 2020.
Dr. Van Mason’s research has focused on social determinants of health along with the home environment and its impact on allergic disease and asthma. She has published articles on accelerated immunotherapy as well as the primary prevention of asthma. Her areas of interest include environmental health and asthma. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.
She enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family, photography, yoga, cookies, and watching football.
